SLY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES — RENTAL AGREEMENT & TERMS AND CONDITIONS (FINAL)

1. Parties

This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between:

Renter: Individual providing booking details including full name, address, phone number, email, driver's license, and date of birth.

2. Driver Requirements

Renter and any authorized driver must:

Only drivers approved by SLY Transportation Services may operate the vehicle.

3. Rental Period

Rental period begins and ends at the times specified in the booking. Vehicle must be returned to the agreed location at the scheduled return time.

Slingshot vehicles only. A 30-minute grace period is provided. After the grace period: $100/hour for each hour (or part thereof) late.

Economy cars (Camry): A 2-hour grace period is provided. After the grace period: up to 4 hours late — $50 late fee; more than 4 hours late — renter will be charged an additional full day rental rate.

Continued failure to return the vehicle may result in additional charges, recovery action, and reporting of the vehicle as unlawfully withheld where permitted by law.

4. Vehicle Use Restrictions

Renter agrees NOT to:

5. Mileage & Geographic Restrictions

Mileage is unlimited within Los Angeles County or within a 50-mile radius. Travel outside this area requires prior written approval.

Tracking is not used for continuous personal surveillance beyond enforcement of rental terms. By renting, renter consents to this use.

7. Fuel Policy

Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level. Fuel shortages will be charged at $5 per gallon.

8. Security Deposit

Slingshot vehicles only. A $150 refundable security deposit is charged online at the time of booking as part of the total payment. It will be released after the vehicle is returned and inspected with no issues (typically within 5–7 business days). The deposit may be fully or partially retained to cover damages, loss of use, cleaning, tolls, or fuel.

Economy cars (Camry): No security deposit is required.

9. Insurance & Liability Requirement

Renter must provide proof of valid personal auto insurance that includes liability coverage and extends to rental vehicles. SLY Transportation Services does not provide liability insurance.

Renter is solely responsible for all third-party claims, including:

If renter does not carry valid insurance, renter assumes full personal financial responsibility for all damages and liabilities.

10. Damage Protection Plan (Optional)

The Damage Protection Plan ("DPP") is an optional add-on that limits the renter's financial responsibility for damage to the rented vehicle ONLY. The DPP is NOT insurance and does not provide liability coverage.

Protection Plan Options:

Important Coverage Limitation: The DPP applies ONLY to the rented vehicle. It does NOT cover other vehicles, property damage, injuries or death, or any third-party liability. Renter remains fully responsible for all third-party claims.

How Charges Are Applied: Protection cost = daily rate × rental days. Added at checkout.

Eligibility: SLY Transportation Services reserves the right to require a protection plan or deny rental if insurance is insufficient.

11. Accident & Damage Reporting

All accidents or damage must be reported within 24 hours. Failure to report may result in full financial responsibility.

12. Payment Terms

All charges are due at booking or pickup. Late payments accrue interest at 1.5% per month. Returned payment fee: $35.

15. Chargeback & Disputes

Renter agrees that this Agreement, along with photos, GPS records, inspection reports, and communication logs, constitutes valid proof of service and authorization of charges. Renter remains responsible for all valid charges.

16. Termination

SLY Transportation Services may terminate rental for violation of terms, unsafe use, or non-payment. Renter is responsible for all recovery costs.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, SLY Transportation Services shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

18. Indemnification

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SLY Transportation Services from all claims, damages, and expenses arising from vehicle use.

19. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by California law. Disputes shall be resolved in Los Angeles County.

20. Acceptance of Terms

By completing booking and/or taking possession of the vehicle, renter confirms:
